The route

  1. Days 1–4: Tamarindo. Surf lesson, sunset sail.
  2. Day 5: Drive inland to Bijagua (about 2 hours).
  3. Day 6: Río Celeste and Tenorio Volcano National Park.
  4. Day 7: Drive to La Fortuna (about 1.5–2 hours).
  5. Days 8–9: Arenal hanging bridges, sloth walk, hot springs.
  6. Day 10: Return to LIR (about 3 hours) or continue to San José.
